Does our family have room for one more? Does yours? My husband and I have been talking for a few years now about the idea and reality of adoption. What would this look like in our lives? Where do we even start? We began praying and made the decision to open the door. We started by saying "God, we don't know if you want us to adopt, and we don't know when or how, but prepare our hearts for whatever you want us to do."

We created this pumpkin pack last year and got lots of great feedback in addition to enjoying it with our own kids! Almost 20 pages chucked full of games, coloring activities, letter tracing and handwriting, cutting practice, history, grammar, recipes, jokes, stories, crafts and more! And best of all... it's free!! Print a copy for yourself, and pass the link on to a friend. Teachers, home educators, moms, grandparents (and anyone else for that matter) will enjoy completing these projects and activities with your kids of all ages.

How can I help my kids prepare themselves for career choices, and equip them with good decision making skills? Is it possible to start doing things now, while they are young, that could better prepare them for those big life decisions? Is it really possible to know a first grader's spiritual gifts and how do I find them? These are all questions I have been contemplating myself, and here is why...

As our kids are learning to talk they can say some of the cutest things!! We can laugh so hard at the way they say things. But there comes a time when they should be able to speak more clearly. Don't be afraid to help your kids with their speech. If you have the blessing of hearing, you can help your child with his speech sounds. You may not feel qualified, but you can help your child.

My oldest, Natalie, officially lost her first tooth! I have been preparing for this moment for quite some time, as most of the kids her age have already lost multiple teeth. Natalie has been longing (somewhat apprehensively) to join the toothless club. Find my free pattern for this adorable Tooth Fairy pillow: HERE

We have to get creative at our house when it comes to having outside play things for our kids. We bought our house before we had kids and didn't give any consideration to what life would be like when they came along. Our subdivision has a rule that doesn't allow any permanent play structures in our yard.

When I was little, I remembered having Cake baked in the Ice Cream Cone. They were so fun. I finally decided to do it myself! It was so easy. Make the cake batter like normal. Then fill the Ice Cream Cake Cone to a little above where the cone widens. If you go any higher your risk the batter rising above the top of the cone. Bake them at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes until done.

I was so inspired by sidewalk chalk. When we had a train birthday party, I decided to go all out and make railroad tracks up the house complete with 2's all over the front porch. Overall, I was really pleased with how it turned out, but next time I will plan a little more before I go out and just start drawing.

What strikes fear into the hearts of mother's across the country? A road trip by yourself with your kids! I live quite far from my parents. When my husband's schedule does not co-ordinate with seeing my family as often as I would like, I am left with the choice. Stay home and see them on major holidays or brave the trip by myself.

Repurposing pop can tabs and turning them into a bracelet is a great idea for summer. You do have to plan ahead a little to collect the tabs, but after that it's a breeze to construct. The only other supply you need is the stretchy stuff used to make bracelets. My daughter loves to bead, so we already had some on hand.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could enjoy God's wonderful creation without mosquitos!! We recently explored near a river and found more than we were looking for. We were all swatting mosquitos. Noah got two little tiny bites, but after much itching they expanded into red, itchy mounds. Mosquito bites (usually) in an of themselves are not a problem, but it's the itching that causes infection. Obviously we don't want to see our little ones in discomfort either, so let me share an easy mixture that helps draw out the itch.

For the past two years, our Father's Day gift has been a T-Shirt. Each year we buy a plain T-Shirt from JoAnn Fabric, and we decorate it with handprints. The first year my mom and dad actually helped the kids shape their hands in a heart shape around his heart while we were out. Last year I tried to reflect their personalities in the T-Shirt. Noah, loved to run up to his dad and just push him in the chest, so those were his hand prints. Jude was a baby, so I put his hand print and foot print where he would be held.

These fun Lego head candy holders were used as favors at my son's 5th birthday party! I happened to have a bunch of empty baby food jars on-hand to use for crafting (seriously, you just never know when you'll need something like that!). I cleaned the jars and dried them really well, then I primed them with a spray primer that was specifically formulated for glass.
