American Girl Doll Swimsuit & Beach Bag Pattern

Julia Forsheeon September 21, 2013(updated February 3, 2024)14K+

Doll Swimsuit Pattern

For this project, I used an old swimsuit and transformed it into one that would fit an American Girl Doll! When I am repurposing clothing into doll clothes, my main goal is to reuse as many of the original finished edges as possible. The more you can include the more professional the finished product, and the easier it is on you!

This is very cute, but it would be a lot easier to follow if there were written instructions to clarify the photos. I don’t think I will try it based just on photos.

Wendy, if you go back to the beginning of the post, there is a “download” button to download the instructions! There are very detailed instructions written out and included in that file :)

I have been making doll clothes for a year or so and had to let you know I love the pj and slipper pattern. So easy to put together. The sleeves went in nicely. Slippers fun to do and easy. Thank you so much.
