Disney’s live action version of the Little Mermaid is in theaters on May 26 and we are celebrating by Disneybounding as Ariel! The Little Mermaid is such a nostalgic movie for me, one I have loved since I was a little girl. I am thrilled to see it reimagined on the big screen with a new, diverse cast of talented people. Carissa and I will be attending a special premiere at Disney Springs tonight and I can’t wait to share our experience. We put together several Disneybound ideas for the event and I’m sharing the details here!

“The Little Mermaid” is the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.
