Sew Easy American Girl Doll Pattern

Sew Easy Dress Pattern

Here’s a sew simple pattern for your daughter to learn to sew her doll a dress. This pattern was designed by Natalie’s grandma. Natalie has been watching me sew doll clothes and has been excited to sew for Caroline, but she is still learning how to sew. Could she make a slightly more finished dress? Yes. But she wants results within thirty minutes!!  This was so successful she is probably going to start making some as gifts for her friends.

Sarah, I cannot access any of the printables. When I sign in, it just goes round and round – Nothing accomplished! I have been trying to print AG patterns for weeks.

I’m so impressed. That material is not easy to work with. Great job!

Thanks for the cute and easy pattern. Please tell me the name of the tool that is used in picture #7 for pulling strap right side out. (Turn your strap right side out. You can also pin a safety pin to the end and feed it through.) Turning tiny sleeves and straps right side out is the hardest part!
    Thanks for your help.

The tool is called a “Point Former and Tube Turner” you can find one like it here: http://www.nancysnotions.com/product/point+former+and+tube+turner+.do?sortby=ourPicks&page=12

      Or try one like this:

    Hi Diana,

This is so cute. I just gave my oldest granddaughter her first American Girl doll for Christmas and she’s been after me to make some clothes for them. Maybe she can help with this one:) Pinning! Have a great weekend:)
