Springtime at Greenfield Village

After a long Winter, and a few weeks passed opening day at Greenfield Village in Dearborn, Michigan, we finally had a warm enough day to venture out! The weather is still a bit unstable here in Michigan, but we happened to have one AMAZING day last week that we took full advantage of.
The kids were so excited, you almost wouldn’t believe they have practically been raised here at Greenfield. Our family and friends all hold annual memberships and come often to experience living history, working farm life, beautiful gardens, train rides, and Summer festivals.

The new play area opened last fall,
but we had yet to experience it during warm weather.

This place is amazing!
Children 10 and under may play, though the attendant explained this is more of a guideline.
Older kids accompanying younger siblings are welcome.

Be forewarned!
There are water AND sand areas here.
As impressive as this place is, and as grateful as we are to finally have an
actual playground, we left wondering…
who’s idea was it to include water??

Come with an extra change of clothes.
Your children will be covered in water…
then they will roll in the sand.

If you’re in the area this Summer, come for a visit!!
